These Misutonida side bars are individually tailored to fit the Ford Transit Custom 2013 on L1 SWB and instantly improves the aesthetics of the vehicle as well as providing protection to the sills from side impacts.
The bars are manufactured from high quality stainless steel that has been hand polished to give them a mirror like shine.
They are simple to fit, coming complete with a full set of instructions and all the brackets, nuts and bolts for a simple DIY job. They also come wrapped and boxed for a safe delivery.
Why do we use stainless steel?
We could use a cheap mild steel and then chrome plate it when manufacturing our bars but we don't.
Why not?
Because after a year or so the bar would look unsightly when weeping rust stains appear.
In the iron/carbon mix chromium is also added that gives the steel its stainless qualities.
The chromium element stops the iron from oxidising and becoming rust (iron oxide).
Road salt used during European winters and sea salt, speed up rust formation and again gives us another good reason to use stainless steel here in the UK & in Europe where our products are sold.
Our stainless has a 3-year warranty, features a mirror polished chrome or black powder coated look (on some black finished items) but is in-fact more expensive, more durable, stainless steel.
